Southwest Gardening Day

The Children’s Garden at DIG it Kingman Community Garden and the Hualapai Cultural Center present Southwest Gardening Day from 9-11 a.m. May 18 at DIG It Community Garden,
2301 Lillie Ave.

9-9:30 a.m. — Craft a rain stick.

9:30-10:30 a.m. — The Hualapai Cultural Green Arrow Gardening project will present a children’s program, featuring Native American seed planting, traditional drum songs and a garden blessing. They will be storytelling “The Three Sisters” and it will promote an understanding of taking care of Mother Earth.

10:30-11 a.m. — Sample freshly made fry bread with a variety of toppings.
