TOPOCK – According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, detectives arrested Christopher Ryan Hoyt, 31 of Topock, and Cheryl Jane Knier, 26 of Bullhead City.
Deputies had received information that a male subject, identified as Hoyt had been driving a stolen truck and was in possession of a stolen motor-home. On Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at approximately 2:00 a.m., deputies observed the stolen motor-home and truck at a property in the 5400 block of Yavapai Dr. in Topock.
Detectives were notified of the findings and a search warrant was obtained for the property. At approximately 6:30 a.m., Detectives arrived on scene and executed the search warrant of the property, where 6 individuals were detained. Among those detained were Hoyt and Knier, who had been
living inside the stolen motor-home. After interviews were conducted, it was revealed that Hoyt had been driving the stolen truck.
During the execution of the search warrant, Animal Control Officers were called to the scene to assist with several aggressive dogs on the property. Other agencies that assisted with this incident were Mohave County Planning and Zoning, Mohave County Building Inspector, and Arizona
Department of Transportation (ADOT) Enforcement.
Christopher Ryan Hoyt was arrested for two counts of Theft/ Control of Stolen Property, a felony, and two active arrest warrants. Cheryl Jane Knier was arrested for one count felony Theft/ Control of Stolen Property.
Both subjects were transported to Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident. This investigation is ongoing.
