WASHINGTON, DC – President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will be traveling to Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas, where mass shootings over the weekend claimed more than 30 lives and injured dozens more.
“We are outraged and sickened by this monstrous evil, the cruelty, the hatred, the malice, the bloodshed, and the terror,” President Trump said Tuesday at the White House. “Our hearts are shattered for every family whose parents, children, husbands, and wives were ripped from their arms and their lives.”
The President also called for bipartisan action to confront gun violence, condemned the scourge of white supremacy, and thanked law enforcement in Ohio and Texas “who responded to these atrocities with the extraordinary grace and courage of American heroes.”
