KINGMAN – According to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, August 2, 2019 around 5:45 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Northern Ave. and Arizona St. for a vehicle driving recklessly.
Deputies observed a vehicle driven by a male subject with no passengers. The vehicle was observed striking curbs and had a flat tire on the passenger side.
Deputies activated their lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver continued on swerving into multiple lanes of travel and almost striking other vehicles. The pursuit continued on with the driver almost colliding with several oncoming vehicles. The vehicle finally came to a stop in the 3600 block of Northern Ave. after striking a fence and traveling through the property to the opposite fence line.
Deputies drew their weapons and gave verbal commands for the driver to step out of the vehicle. Deputies observed the driver to have a blank stare and was not responding to commands and noted the possibility of a diabetic/ medical episode.
Deputies immediately alerted medical personnel, who responded to evaluate the driver.
This investigation is ongoing.
