KINGMAN – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Devin Jason Higdon, 23 of Kingman, for Dangerous Drug Possession and Drug Paraphernalia Possession.

According to MCSO, on Friday, June 26, 2019 around 12:10 p.m. deputies were on patrol in the area of Marshall Dr. and Devlin Ave. when they observed a male subject, riding a bicycle in the wrong lane of travel. The male subject later was later identified as Higdon.

When deputies attempted to contact the male, he began peddling faster in an attempt to flee. Higdon then stopped the bicycle at a residence in the 3100 block of Devlin Ave. and entered the fenced property, running towards a large bush in the northeast corner of the property. Deputies issued verbal commands for Higdon to stop and show his hands, to which he complied. Commands were given to get on the ground, to which Higdon refused and began cursing at deputies. Higdon was taken to the ground and placed in custody.

Permission was given by the homeowners to search the property and deputies located a black sock near the bush where Higdon was originally contacted. According to deputies, the sock contained approximately 7.8 grams of methamphetamine and two unmarked brown pills. Higdon had started slamming his head against the door as deputies returned to their patrol vehicle. During transport, Higdon also began kicking the vehicle’s door. Higdon was transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
