Kingman Man Allegedly Shoots Out Church Window

KINGMAN — A Kingman man allegedly shot a handgun into church window, causing quite a bit of damage to the property.

Kingman Police Department, about 2:45 a.m. June 18, arrested Lukas Alan Adams, 26, of Kingman, on felony charges of aggravated criminal damage and four counts of weapons misconduct.  

Officers responded to a call from a church in the 100 block of N. Fourth Street regarding a burglary alarm.  

Officers arrived and allegedly discovered Adams, intoxicated and passed out, lying on the ground with a handgun lying next to him.  There was also broken glass nearby.

According to KPD, the investigation determined that Adams, who was extremely intoxicated, had fired off at least four rounds from the handgun, striking the window glass of the church and causing significant damage to other items inside of the church. Adams was reportedly unable to provide any explanation for the incident.  

Adams was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
