MOHAVE COUNTY — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue had the opportunity this past weekend to instruct tracking classes and lost person behavior at the 10th Annual Utah Search and Rescue conference at Fish Lake.
The conference had over 250 attendees. Classes ranged from lost person behavior, wilderness first aid, drone use in search and rescue, splinting and packaging of patients, mechanical advantage haul systems, knots, helicopter landing zones, gear packing for call outs and more.
20 counties from Utah were represented along with Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue. Multiple Utah state agencies, state parks, National Guard and the medical examiner’s office attended the training.
MCSO would like to thank the sheriff’s office of Washington County and Sevier County (Utah) for their hospitality.
