GOLDEN VALLEY– A Lake Havasu City woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman in Golden Valley.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Anita Kay Warren, 58, of Lake Havasu City, for felony resisting arrest.
She was also arrested for assault and first degree criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors.
MCSO deputies responded to a residence about 4:15 p.m. June 11 in the 3800 block of Aztec Road in reference to an assault.
Upon arrival, deputies noticed a woman, identified as Warren, reportedly lying on the ground outside the property yelling for medical attention.
The female victim was standing inside the gated property and said she had seen Warren allegedly climbing the fence on her property. When the victim told Warren to leave, she reportedly continued and entered the property, walking toward the residence.
The victim stated that when she confronted her, Warren reportedly shoved and kicked her. The victim and her friends removed Warren from the property, and once outside the fence line, Warren allegedly dropped to the ground and said she needed medical attention.
MCSO said witnesses on scene confirmed the victim’s story and while speaking to the victim, Warren tried to leave the scene. Deputies told her she was not free to leave and Warren reportedly continued to get into her vehicle.
Deputies advised Warren she was under arrest for assault and Warren began pulling away. According to MCSO, deputies removed Warren from her vehicle and place her in restraints.
After Warren was seen and cleared by a medical team, Warren was arrested and booked into Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without further incident.
