FORT MOHAVE — A Fort Mohave woman was arrested on multiple counts of drug possession.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Britani Loree Padie-Esparza, 23, of Fort Mohave, for prescription drug possession, dangerous drug possession and narcotic drug possession, all felonies. MCSO said she also had two active arrest warrants.

Deputies were on patrol about 11:55 p.m. May 31 and noticed a gold sedan turn onto Hammer Lane from Highway 95. Deputies performed a records check of the vehicle and it returned uninsured. A traffic stop was conducted and MCSO reportedly identified the driver as Padie-Esparza. According to MCSO, deputies asked for the vehicle’s documents and she could not provide them, nor did she have her driver’s license with her.

MCSO said a records check revealed her active warrants. Deputies said they performed a pat search and found 0.4 grams of methamphetamine on her person. A vehicle search allegedly yielded a bottle containing liquid morphine and a bottle of prescription pills.

Padie-Esparza was arrested and booked into Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
