LITTLEFIELD — A Utah man was allegedly found passed out from drugs in a vehicle.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested James Fiske, 36, of Hurricane, Utah, for dangerous drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession, both felonies.

Deputies responded about 12:45 a.m. June 1 to a welfare check call at a business in the 4000 block of E. Fleet Street. The reporting party said a man was sleeping inside a vehicle outside the business. The reporting party also said he had tried to wake the man up and had no response.

MCSO said deputies arrived on the scene and noticed the man, identified as Fiske, was slumped over. Deputies tried to wake him several times and couldn’t get him to rise. Deputies requested the assistance from Beaver Dam Fire personnel.

According to MCSO, deputies gained entry into the vehicle by the passenger side door, and saw a syringe and baggie of methamphetamine in the vehicle’s center console. When fire personnel arrived on scene, they were able to wake him and administered a dose of Narcan to combat opiate overdose. MCSO said Fiske responded to the Narcan and was evaluated by fire personnel.

After being cleared for transport, Fiske was arrested and booked into the Mesquite Detention Center without incident.
