LAKE HAVASU CITY — A two-year-old was found face down in a swimming pool Friday afternoon.
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received a call about 3 p.m. May 31 in reference to a possible drowning in the 3000 block of Jennie Lane in Desert Hills.
Upon arrival, deputies met Desert Hills Fire personnel and discovered that a two-year-old female was found face down in the swimming pool at the residence.
The child was pulled from the pool by family members and transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center by ambulance. Fire personnel and deputies started cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Deputies escorted the child to the hospital. She was later transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital by a medical helicopter. She is still in extremely critical condition.
This investigation is ongoing.
