CHLORIDE — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office helped a 75-year-old man who was stranded after leaving the Windy Point Recreation site.
MCSO received a call on May 17 about a motorist who had become stranded. The man was leaving Windy Point Recreation site and headed southeast, the opposite way from where he started traveling.
He was driving a Ford Escape with all-wheel drive and had plenty of water. The road became too rocky and he was unable to continue or turn around.
Mohave County Search and Rescue was called out to find him. They located the man uninjured, just southeast of Windy Point, on a rugged washed out portion of the trail.
He was assisted back to the command post.
