DOLAN SPRINGS — The victim of an alleged robbery held a suspect at gunpoint after reportedly catching him rummaging through his travel trailer.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Jerry Lynn Doty, 60, of Meadview, for first degree criminal trespassing, dangerous drug possession, drug paraphernalia possession, all felonies. MCSO said he also had an active arrest warrant.

MCSO deputies responded about 8:20 a.m. May 10 to a report of a person trespassing  in the 17000 block of Needle Drive.

The reporting party said that he had found a man, later identified as Doty, allegedly inside his travel trailer causing damage. The victim told deputies he was holding the male subject at gunpoint.

Deputies arrived and took Doty into custody.

MCSO said a pat search of Doty revealed used syringes and a baggie of methamphetamine in his pockets.

The victim said the trailer is on his property and he heard noises coming from the trailer so he went to check on it. The property-owner saw Doty inside, so he went to get his gun.

He returned to the trailer and ordered Doty out of the trailer at gunpoint. Doty then sat on the porch until deputies arrived.

Doty was arrested and booked into Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
