MOHAVE COUNTY – Mother’s Day is Sunday. Yep!
It’s time to pay homage to the woman/women who raised you, reared you and continues to be there for you this day.
If dealing with hormone changes, weight gain, swelling, bleeding, unconventional food cravings and decades of success, failure, success and then some isn’t worthy of at least a ‘Thanks Mom’, what is?
This is your chance to share your experiences as a child and parent.
Sons, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, fathers, mom and dads, mom and moms (it’s a reality now!), moms raising their children’s children, mothers and grandmothers who’ve outlived their children, mothers who’ve adopted kids and kids who’ve adopted mothers and everything in between…
Tell us more than what a Hallmark card would say. Tell us what you really want to say. Show us some of the most touching moments from your relationship. Drawings, artwork, accomplishments, etc.
We won’t stop you.
What was your initial reaction to being pregnant for the first time? The next time? The time after that?
What are the best and worst parts of motherhood?
How do you think motherhood has changed over the years?
What advice do you have for mothers-to-be?
Fathers, sons, daughters, and others:
What is the most memorable experience with your mother?
Is there something that stands out as a guiding experience that made you who you are today?
If you’re a parent, how do you communicate your parental responsibilities with you mother today?
If your mother has passed, what would you say if you could see her one more time?
Please send pictures, letters, paintings, recordings, voice messages and anything else that will help you and us tell the story.
No waiting until the last minute…you’ve got two days (three tops) before the guilt (about waiting until the last minute) sets in.
Thanks. Mohave County Rattler
