KINGMAN — A woman allegedly riding an unlicensed quad on the street in Kingman was arrested for drug-related charges.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Angela Sue Ortiz, 55, of Kingman, for felony dangerous drug possession and an active arrest warrant.
Deputies noticed a woman riding a quad without a visible license plate about 11:30 a.m. May 9 on Eagle Drive. MCSO said they stopped the woman and identified her as Ortiz. She reportedly told deputies the quad was not registered for roadway use and her license was suspended. MCSO said a records check revealed an active arrest warrant and Ortiz was detained.
MCSO said they searched her purse and found a small bag with a white crystal substance, which tested positive for 7.9 grams of methamphetamine.
Ortiz was arrested and booked into Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
