KINGMAN — Prom Spirit Week at Kingman High School was a blast last week.
Students dressed up as teachers, and teachers dressed up as students during Student-Teacher Switch Day.
Kaden Horner, a junior, and Amy Murrell, an English teacher, switched personas for the day.
“He was wearing my signature jewel-tone t-shirt dress,” said Murrell. “I have the same dress in five colors. Those dresses, with black leggings and statement jewelry, have been my winter uniform. So, I gave Kaden the uniform, and he gave me his green crocs, his jewelry and his very distinctive duster. We had a great time with it.”
Murrell said Kaden is not in his class, but they have worked together in theater. She said they have a mutual society and that he’s likely to run into her class at anytime, sometimes with gifts of Coke or donuts.
“The reason I chose Ms. Murrell because we are both very loud and dramatic people,” said Kaden.
Student Council President Dean Curtis said he was very excited with the amount of participation this year.
“Students and teachers really stepped up and got involved,” said Curtis.
