LAKE HAVASU CITY — Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Missouri man for allegedly operating a watercraft under the influence of alcohol.
MCSO deputies arrested Jason Dale Barnes, 40 of Grain Valley, MO, for three misdemeanor counts of operating under the influence, one of which was an extreme operating under the influence.
MCSO Division of Boating Safety was patrolling the area of Thompson Bay when they noticed a boat travelling about 25 miles per hour in a posted no-wake zone. Deputies stopped the operator of watercraft, identified as Barnes, about 7 p.m. April 26. Deputies said they noticed the smell of alcohol coming from his breath and that his eyes were red and watering.
MCSO performed a breath test and the results came back as a .162 percent blood alcohol content.
Barnes was arrested and booked into Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
