KINGMAN – Expect a bit of extra air traffic over Kingman Airport Saturday morning.

Look up to the sky and root on an educational experience.

Tim Gerlach, President of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 765, Paul Gaines of Alpha-Zula Composites and other aviators will be hosting plane rides to local Boy Scout troops courtesy of a Cirrus SR22, Cessna 172 and other aircraft.

The flights start at 10 a.m. and run until the scouts learn a thing or two.

The flights aren’t open to the public, but it won’t hurt to swing by and get a new interest in aviation.

“We haven’t used this terminal as a venue for this type of event in years,” Gaines said.
