Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Crash

KINGMAN — A pedestrian from Kingman was struck by a white utility van on Andy Devine Avenue.

The Kingman Police Department responded to a call about a vehicle and pedestrian crash about 2:30 p.m. April 22 in the 3800 block of E. Andy Devine Avenue.

KPD said a white utility van hit a male pedestrian. The van, driven by a Fort Mohave man, was travelling westbound on Andy Devine Avenue.

The investigation determined that the pedestrian ran into the path of the oncoming van. The unidentified pedestrian was seriously injured and transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center.  

He was later flown to Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas. The van driver will not be charged. The road was closed for about 30 minutes and westbound traffic was detoured around the crash scene.
