TUCSON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, officers at the Port of Nogales seized more than 12 pounds of methamphetamine over the weekend.
CBP Officers at the Mariposa Crossing referred a 22-year-old Phoenix woman for further inspection when she attempted to enter the U.S. from Mexico early Sunday morning. When officers were searching her Dodge sedan, they located multiple packages of drugs throughout the vehicle. The packages were identified as more than 12 pounds of meth, with an estimated value of nearly $37,000.
Officers seized the drugs and vehicle. The subject was arrested and then turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
