KPD apprehended Justin Corey Brzezinski, 30, of Kingman, about 11:40 a.m. April 16 on a felony charge of possession of stolen property, five felony warrants and a misdemeanor charge of driving with suspended/revoked license.
Police said an officer attempted to stop a speeding motorcycle on Topeka Street and the motorcyclist fled south into the desert. Police said the driver and motorcycle were located in the 400 block of Hoover Avenue, at which time the driver fled from officers again. He allegedly crashed the motorcycle and fled on foot, barefooted.
Officers arrested Brzezinski in the 400 block of S. 5th Street. KPD said the motorcycle had been reported stolen to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said Brzezinski had five felony warrants for failure to appear on various charges. Brzezinski, who reportedly denied involvement in the offense, was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility.
A search warrant was issued for Brzezinski’s DNA in an effort to connect him to the stolen motorcycle, helmet and shoes that were left at the scene of the crash.
