KINGMAN — The Kingman Police Department is expanding its lobby hours to provide more convenient access before and after regular work hours.
Currently, the department’s lobby is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Beginning April 22, lobby hours will change to 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It will be closed on Fridays.
The change is based upon a successful pilot program with the city’s fire administration and engineering department to expand hours of service. Police and emergency services will not be affected by the change in hours.
An after-hours phone will be available in the lobby of the police department that will provide instant access to the police dispatch center. Police Chief Bob DeVries said the new hours of operation will be evaluated after a 90-day period.
