Police Swarm House After Gunshot Report

MOHAVE COUNTY — The threat of a possible gunshot wound drew numerous Mohave County Sheriff’s officers to a house in the 4800 block of Teddy Roosevelt about 8:10 p.m., Friday.

Police converged on the area, sirens wailing, and approached the home through the backyard before entering. They had received an anonymous call earlier that a female had been shot. After storming the residence, no victim was found. An unknown person was detained after the tense 10 minute situation ended at 8:23 p.m. Information will be updated as it becomes available.
