MOHAVE COUNTY — Details are slim, but the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team has recovered the body of a man who died after falling over the edge of the Grand Canyon West Skywalk Thursday morning.
According to a MCSO spokesperson, a technical rope rescue team with the assistance of the Arizona Department of Public Safety Ranger helicopter responded to the Grand Canyon West Skywalk for a man who had fallen over the edge of the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
A short-haul technician flew with Ranger to the scene and determined the man was deceased. The body was extracted to a command post and transferred to the custody of the Hualapai Nation for further investigation.
